"Sacrifice and Redemption"
In Roman times, crucifixion was a shameful execution for rebels. Jesus of Nazareth was arrested, tried, and nailed to a cross. For Christians, this was not a defeat but the ultimate victory. They believe Jesus was the Son of God who willingly died as a sacrifice to pay the penalty for humanity's sins (Atonement).
The story doesn't end with death. Three days later, the tomb was found empty. The Resurrection is the cornerstone of Christian faith, offering the hope of eternal life. The Cross, once a symbol of torture, became the universal symbol of love and salvation.
