War of Currents

"Edison (DC) vs Tesla (AC)"

Late 19th Century

⚡ Electrifying the World

As the world electrified, a bitter rivalry erupted. Thomas Edison pushed for Direct Current (DC), which was safer but couldn't travel far. Nikola Tesla and George Westinghouse championed Alternating Current (AC), which could be transmitted over long distances using transformers.

📚 The Victory of AC

Edison launched a smear campaign, even using AC to electrocute animals to prove it was dangerous. However, AC's efficiency made it superior for the power grid. Tesla won, and AC became the standard for home power. Ironically, today's digital devices run on DC, requiring adapters to convert the power back.
